A Bit of Honey!

Hello everyone! how has your day been? I hope you have all had a bit of crafty time...for me just a little, lots of computer work and washing.

Last night was my first day back at work and it went okay, back was a little tight this morning, but thankfully it can rest for the next 2 days as I am off before I start my really big week.

So being Wednesday, it is time for another Simon Says challenge, and I have to do a Woohoo!! here as we reached over 1000 entries from last week...you guys ROCK!! After writing up this post, I am heading back over to re start my commenting, so many entries and not enough time to catch up, so if you are still waiting for a comment, hang in there I will be at your blog soon....

Thank you to everyone that took the time to enter, to check out this weeks challenge, be sure to click on the blinkie below..

I have a pretty straight forward card tonight to share, I used one of the Gruffie Bears from Stampabilities, super sweet, but I realised after attempting this card 5 times that I so need a lot more practice on colouring of fur..LOL.

100_7305

I took white card stock, trimmed it to size, stamped the image onto the card stock and coloured with Copics, adding a background technique using a dotting of the Copics to create shadows. I adhered this to black card stock, so that the image would stand out and added it with foam dimensionals to a trimmed piece of Basic Grey, White pattern paper. I then adhered this to a trimmed white card. Finishing the card by adding a sentiment banner that had the sentiment Hugs stamped onto it and pearls added either side.

I hope that you all will join me this week in having a little fun with this challenge...

Be sure to enter as I don't know about you but with all the new CHA stuff arriving soon at Simon Says, I know that the $50 shopping spree would come in quite handy...

Alrighty, for me it is back to commenting and hopefully a little bit of crafting tonight...

I hope you all have a wonderful night!

Hugs

I love your background technique and your Gruffie Bear is perfectly handsome in his furry coat! You've managed to give him a lovely shape with your shading, deffo a bear full of honey! Also love the simplicity of your card, sometimes less is more...thanks for commenting on my blog. Lisa x

I think your bear is just perfect.
Rest and relax. It's good you have 2 days off. Have you ever considered doing some yoga classes? The stretching and core strengthening may just be what you need. Make sure it is NOT the Bihkram(not sure of the spelling) That is the type where they keep raising the temperature in the room, you also loose alot of water, and weight, but I don't think that it is good to get yourself dehydrated. So I guess what I am trying to say is find an easy beginners class and get your own mat, you don't want to be using something that your have no idea who has sweated on it prior to you(ICK)

Just wanted to say that your card stands out among the rest due to its less-is-more-ism. How hard is it to limit yourself when coloring an image. But your choice of just the blue and yellow, complemented with the brown and simple gray/white BG works wonderfully. Especially with that BG paper that reminds me of honeycomb:)
