Background Stamps!

Hi Everyone! have you all enjoyed your day? today we have been sweltering through heat and humidity once again, so Roly and I were once again under the A/c...doing a tiny bit of house work and well the rest spent in the craft room.

So I am back tonight to bring you another creation and as we know today is Wednesday, so that means a new challenge has started over at Simon Says, our sweet DT gal Domi put together a great sketch for us this week, to check out the other DT creations and the details of the new challenge, just click on the blinkie below.

So I have to say, Domi really stretched me on this sketch, there seem to be more then what I would normally put on a card, well at least you all know me, less really is more for me, so the thinking cap was on and well here is what I came up with....

100_7191

Starting out with white card stock and the chevron border from the My Happy stamp set, I inked it with London Fog ink, stamping across the card stock, to create my own pattern paper look. I then took the Woodgrain background stamp, inked it with Brown Sugar, stamped onto more white card stock, trimming a circle out using Spellbinder Circle dies, adhering this to the chevron background using foam dimensionals. Staying with white card stock, I trimmed a small piece, punching the top with the Binding Edge Border Punch, adding it to the circle with more foam dimensionals. I took pattern paper from the My Minds Eye, Love Me paper pad, ran it through my Cuttlebug, cutting a heart out of the Hearts a Plenty die, adhering this to the white card stock on the circle. To complete the card, I added twine to the bottom, a sentiment, scattering of rhinestones and added this to a trimmed white card.

I hope you find some inspiration in the card that I created and that it helps you to create one to enter into this weeks challenge, would love to see you enter...

As always the lovely Heidi and the Simon Says crew, will give one lucky person to spend $50 in store...so get inky and start entering...

Alright, I am off to add a couple of more things to my Etsy shoppe....

Have a wonderful night...

Hugs
