Puffy Hearts!

Hello and Happy Valentines Day! have you all been spoilt and gushed over?? Not in this house..LOL today means just another day for us, we share things together through out the year that mean more to us, plus today we don't get to see each other, what with Darryl starting early and me starting work later.

I thought today I would share a card with you using one of my favourite loves, that is Washi Tape....I swoon over this gorgeous product and everytime I see it, I want to purchase, so hence my Washi Tape collection is growing...if you are wishing to purchase, here are a few places that I have purchased from, I love Cute Tape, thanks to Michelle Wooderson putting me onto this fabulous place, they not only have yummy Washi Tape, but also other amazing products, great shipping prices and fabulous service. The other place that Michelle put me onto was a place here in Australia, that has free shipping within Australia, fabulous Washi Tape, that place is called Sawyer's Place, super fast shipping. There are other places like Pretty Tape on Etsy, I know that Simon Says stock a little bit of tape also, mostly under decorative tape, which you can find HERE.

I created a pretty basic card, using up some left overs from my February card kit, I trimmed white card stock for the card base, adding a strip of grid Washi Tape at the base, and with the other coloured Washi Tape, I adhered it to white card stock, trimming to lengths that were shorter then one another, also cutting V's into the ends and adhering over the grid Washi Tape, I then added the puffy hearts to the tape. I finished the card by embossing a sentiment onto Kraft card stock, cutting a V also in the end of the sentiment banner and adhered to the top of the card, adding a pink rhinestone to complete.

I cannot wait to use more of my Washi Tape...below is a photo of some yumminess that arrived about a week ago...swooning here...LOL

Okay, I am off to get a couple of jobs completed before heading to work...

I hope you all have a fabulous Valentines Day...

Heart Camera!

Happy Monday to you all! I do hope that you all had a fabulous weekend, I know that lots of crafty work was happening in the craft room....

Tonight, I thought that I would share a Purple Onion Designs card that I submitted for Publication, but unfortunately was not picked up...

Joy Taylor - Heart Camera

Pretty straight forward card, by adding strips of My Minds Eye pattern paper to a piece of trimmed white card stock, plus another piece of pattern paper that I ran through my Cuttlebug, cutting a circle die cut using the Spellbinders, Standard Large Circles. Adhering the circle with foam dimensionals over the strips of pattern paper. Taking the camera from the Photographer stamp set, stamping it onto another piece of My Minds Eye pattern paper, trimming around the camera and adding it to the circle with foam dimensionals. Adding a punched heart to the centre lens part of the camera, completing the card by adding a sentiment and corner rounding the left hand corners of the card stock, adding to a trimmed white card that also had the same corners rounded.

This is a great way to use up those scrap pieces of pattern paper that you may have lying around...

Well I am off to relax for the rest of the night...

Have a wonderful night!

Cruisin Chloe!

Hello friends and happy Sunday to you! I hope that you are all enjoying your weekend and have had a lot of fun and relaxation...I know that our boy Roly is doing just that, as I type this post he is currently laying on his mat snoring away...makes me giggle...

Today for me will be a crafty day, just a few things to tie up around the house and then I can have a day of bliss....

One of those things to do before I head into the craft room is to share my post with you all and today is Sunday and that means a new creation for Jay Gee's Nook.

Earlier on in the week an order of Copics arrived at the cottage and I was itching to colour once again, so I took out the Cruisin Chloe, from Sparkle Creations and began to colour last night.

I stamped the image onto white card stock, coloured her in with my Copics, trimmed the card stock down to size, added a sentiment and some rhinestones. Next, I adhered this to some grey card stock and then onto a trimmed Kraft card.

If you haven't checked out the range of these adorable Sparkle Creations you must, you can go HERE to view them all.

Don't forget that the current challenge is still underway and to remind you, below is the photo inspiration board I created for all of you.

Okay, I am off to check out the DT creations and start doing my few jobs.

Mixed Media Flower!

Happy Saturday to you all! we have a beautiful day here at the cottage, not too hot, so this will be a nice day to get some chores done...first lot of chores to be done will be at my Mum's and then hopefully home for a little rest and play in the craft room.

Before we head off to complete our chores, I thought that I would share a Purple Onion Designs card with you all...this card I had an immense amount of fun creating...I tried my hand at a little mixed media type look card and I can tell you I cannot wait to create more with this style. Thanks to Stephanie Ackerman for her beautiful inspiration...

Mixed Media Flower

I took water colour paper, trimmed to size, spritzing the paper lightly with water to give it some tooth, I then swiped layers of distress stains, tumbled glass, borken china, shabby shutters, peeled paint and picket fence, I kept layering until I was happy with the result and heat set using heat tool. I then took the mixed middles flower and stamped it to one side of the paper, making sure to stamp with jet black archival ink, so that inks would not run. Colouring the flower in with memento markers, adding shading with a tombow grey marker and dots of white gel pen on the flower also applying glossy accents to the heart in the centre. Next, I took Studio Calico mister heuy's, calico white and added droplets over the paper. I added a sentiment from one of the hometown collection stamps and completed the card by drawing two lines around the outside with a black marker, adding lines to create a checkerboard effect, coloured each section in with a white marker and the black marker, adhered this then to a trimmed white card.

Okay, I hope that you enjoyed viewing the card...

I will be back tomorrow with another creation for you to view...
